Gender Identity Test results
Our project group decided to interact with our topic of the gender spectrum more deeply, by each participating in the SAGE gender identity test (see link below) to determine where we lie on the spectrum. We have decided to share the results, but being that this is an extremely important and sensitive subject, agreed that each individual may omit details if they wish.

My score indicated that overall, I am androgynous. This includes androgynous brain processes, socialization, and appearance. It said I have mild conflicts about my gender identity and concluded that I am a female to male cross-dresser.
Overall I agree with these results. At first, interacting with people without considering gender took some conscious work, but I think it became second nature very quickly. I don’t think gender has ever been a big factor of my interaction with people; if I get along with someone, it is almost always independent of gender and other labels.
I think it’s probably true that my brain processes are androgynous, but at the same time I can’t pretend to categorize and understand something so complex. What I do know is that most of the time I don’t think I feel connected to my gender very deeply, thus in decision making and thinking it is not usually a factor (or at least a conscious one). This follows with the fact that feminism, the equality of the sexes, is very important to me.
My appearance is probably not what one would typically consider androgynous, since I have long hair, and wear some makeup, which most people would consider feminine. Although I don’t consider appearance a hugely important part of myself, I like to experiment with clothes. I wear button downs and t-shirts about as often as I wear dresses, which might in part explain the cross-dressing analysis. However I don’t think I wear typical male clothes, button downs and brogues, in order to feel like a male, but rather to experiment with what I wear.
This analysis was somewhat simplistic, but I guess it is hard or impossible to qualify identity with one test, and it could be useful to someone with doubts or questions about their gender identity.

My results indicated that I am overall androgynous. My socialization and personality are androgynous, while my appearance is primarily feminine. The test results stated that I am unconflicted with my gender identity. It stated that I have normal doubts and curiosities. The test also stated that I am a cross dresser. Although I found the wording to be a bit harsh, I do wear loose fitting clothing including sweatpants and sweatshirts, which is not traditionally feminine.
I believe my test results matched me for the most part. I usually dress fairly feminine. I believe that my personality more closely resembles feminine qualities rather than male. I am interested in sports and cars, unlike many females. However, I believe in many qualities that are commonly seen as traditional, such as men paying for dates and women being interested in fashion.
Although I believe that women and men have different duties and interests, I am a firm believer that men and women have equal rights and are entitled to the same opportunities.

My results stated that overall I am an androgynous. My appearance is feminine. My brain processes are mostly that of an Androgynous person. I appear to socialize in a feminine manner. I have normal doubts about my gender identity. My general analysis was normal doubts/curiosities about life as the opposite sex, but I generally accept my physical sex and gender identity.
I would have to say that the results were partially right. I feel that I do not have any doubts about my gender. I find myself to be very feminine. I love to wear dresses and heals. I can see why it says I am androgynous, since I do not stick to the gender stereotypes that society places on us. I do not believe in a man’s job or a women’s job, I believe that we all have the power to do the same thing. I am interested on what the SAGE test considered normal doubts about gender identity, since normal for one person may not be normal to another. I feel that the results should have been more specific. Overall, this quiz asked some interesting questions that I would have never thought would be important in looking at gender.

My results: You are a statistical minority as an anallophilic cross dresser. Most cross dressers are heterosexual. Your motivation for cross-dressing may be driven by undirected nature of your sexuality, as a way to more fully explore the female gender role. My test scores portray me as mostly masculine but having doubts about my sexuality. It says I have attributes of both genders and socialize accordingly. It also states that I have normal doubts about my gender identity.
I believe that this reflection gives me some insight into myself. I definitely display some "feminine" characteristics such as being caring and clean. It is accurate in the attributes I possess, but I strongly disagree with the result that I am a cross dresser. I have never cross-dressed and have never wanted to. Even before this test I knew I had qualities that would be considered stereotypically female, but that doesn't make me wonder if I am a girl. From my perspective, this test presents some answers if you are truly confused about your gender. There is no harm in taking the test if you are curious.
